Are you keeping up with your burpees? Today is day 10. You should have 55 under your belt by the end of the day. If you still want to get in on the challenge, you'll need to do 55 today. Remember, you don't have to do them all at once. You can 5 or 10 at a time throughout the day if you wish. Here's my last two days.

Day 8 - 45 Burpees to buy in if you haven't already started.
From Grant Park in Downtown Chicago, doing 8 burpees (actually 9 because I lost count) with the Grant Park Bulldogs. Some of you need a little work on these.

Way to tough out a hard workout. I have to appologize for being a bit disjointed this morning. I got in last night after driving home from Saint Paul, MN where I raced in the Saint Paul Inline Marathon I won't bore you with my tales of woe other than to say I had an "A Christmass Story" moment this morning. Long story short I stepped on my glasses while I was looking for them. Anyway, great job on the workout. It wasn't as much abou the scores as it was working your hardest throughout which you certainly did. This workout is based on a CrossFit workout called "FIght Gone Bad" The workout was designed to simulate the intensity level of a 3 round MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fight. When the fighter they were training was asked -what did you think of that workout? He replied "it felt like a fight gone bad". We used different exercises but it was still a kickass workout.

I did my 7 burpees today with two of the top female skaters in the country. On my right is Jilleane Rookard and on my left is Helen Havam. Jilleane won the womens 26 mile Saint Paul Inline Marathon which had just been completed. So yes, these were done after a grueling skate, legs trashed.

I'm in Saint Paul, MN for the Saint Paul Inline Marathon. It's a 26 mile road skate race. The video is from the convention room of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Saint Paul. The person to my right is Rob Bell from Oklahoma. Rob is one of the top elite skaters in the country. He's also a tri-athlete and an all round good guy. On my left is Alex Fedak who is one of the top masters skaters (over 35) in the country. They were a little reluctant at first but it didn't take much arm twisting.

We're up to 10 including yours truly! That's good but I know we can do better. Scroll down to see the list of who's in. All you need is 6 for today to get on board.
Ok, so I know how you all love Burpees so much. How about taking the 100 Day Burpee challenge with me?
I'm doing this with a group that I workout with, Windy City CrossFit. It's not my idea but I thought it would be fun. I know, I'm warped.
Here's how it will work: beginning Monday, July 28th Burpee Challenge participants will do one burpee on day one and adding one each day until we get to 100 Burpees on the 100th Day! Total = 5050 Burpees.
If you miss a day you can make them up on the next day. You can count the burpees done during workouts but only the number you need for that day. Any "extra" burpees cannot be carried forward.
If you're interested in doing the challenge with me, please add your name to the comment section below. Here's a reminder of what they look like.
